November 11, 2011: My dad would have turned 76 today. Here’s a picture I really like from when he was 21 — I wish they still made portraits like this. So serious! A fun fact about my dad is that when he was 68 he dove out a living room window into the swimming pool below, and pinched a nerve in his neck that paralyzed his hand.
